Romanian born, Loredana Elena Teodorescu, is a teacher, choreographer and professional dancer having toured in Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Austria. she started her training in 1983 at ‘Palatul Copiilor’ in Ploiesti, Romania. From there she went on to the ballet high school in Bucarest where she remained for nin years. After her time in training, Teodorescu became a performer of the National Opera in Bucarest.
By 1999, she was a principal dancer who went on to win awards such as the special award for debut in leading roles (‘Swan Lake’, ‘Giselle’) of the critics and musicologists society.
Her repertoire includes; ‘Don Quixote’ – Mercedes, Swan Lake – Odette/ Odile, Pas de trois, ‘Tristan and Isault’ ‘Prelude to the afternoon of Faun’ – Nymph, ‘Coppelia’ – Pas de Quatre abd ‘Sleeping Beauty’- Aurore. In 2004 she moved to Dubai and began teaching ballet at Choeifat school.
In 2009, Teodorescu began attending classes at Sharmila Dance where she struck by a relationship with Sharmila, who after much persuasion got her back on stage.
